We sat down with Interior Designer Lee O’Neill to get to know her a little bit more ahead of her in store consultations on Thursday March 3rd in our Ennis store.
Was interiors always your passion? Yes from as far back as I can remember I loved colour and pattern. My mother was very artistic and she was a great inspiration
If you weren’t an interior designer, what would you be /doing? Teacher
Best advice when choosing colour? Pick a colour you can live with and really like as opposed to following trends. If you have a lot of patterns in your furnishings keep paint colour pretty neutral. If you are dealing with a bland interior. Why not be a bit bold and use colour to transform space.
Most recommended shade of grey? Kensington gray dark. I like all the Kensington grays they work well in Irish interiors they have a little warmth.
Your favourite colour in the Vogue range – Fleetwood? Its warm and a great colour with pale gray or white woods. A Welcome change from other overused shades.
Black or White? I love both and love monochrome interiors
Stripes or Spots? Stripes
Leopard Print or Floral? Depending on clients.. My preference Floral
Favourite food? Thai green curry
Favourite place in Ireland? The Burren
